If you can make some time on June 23rd or 24th Ecole Lac des Bois is putting on an Indigenous Culture week and needs your help. Here are the details provided by Vice Principal Cliff Waldie:
Thursday, June 23 – Roughly 10-20 parent volunteers
There will be 10 stations, including a concession with ideally 1-2 parents at each station to help run it for students as they arrive. The stations will be pre-designed and setup, by the LDB leadership students and there will most likely be leadership students at the station as well.
Friday, June 24 – Roughly 8-10 Parents volunteers
Parents / Guardians needed to assist in the bannock making for the school. The dough will be pre-pared ahead of time, but the parents will be involved in the cooking and distribution process.
Don’t have your forms volunteer forms submitted?
If you don’t have your criminal record check done yet it is not too late. If you have trouble getting the forms from the office simply call the office and have the forms sent home with your child. Criminal record checks are saved on file and are good for 3 years so you will be ready to volunteer for next year if you act now.
